Frequently Asked Dental Questions - Hurst, TX

Your Chance to Learn More About Us

Our team at ProSmiles Dental & Orthodontics of Hurst is used to receiving all kinds of questions from our patients that cover everything from regular preventive care to more complex dental procedures and health problems. Whatever your concerns are, we’ll work hard to put them to rest during a consultation or phone call. To potentially save you some time, we’ve listed some of the FAQs that we’ve heard most often down below.

Do you see children?

Of course! As a dental office dedicated to helping families all across Hurst, we’re happy to welcome patients of all ages, including the youngest ones. Receiving excellent dental care at the very beginning of their lives helps ensure that your children will grow up with proud, dazzling smiles that last for life. We offer many services that are tailored to the needs of your little one, helping their teeth stay strong as they grow.

I want to replace missing teeth. What’s the best option?

That depends on you and your smile! There is no one magic solution for tooth loss that works perfectly for everyone no matter the situation. We do highly recommend dental implants for those who are eligible for them; they are the only type of tooth replacement that also provides new artificial roots that hold the restoration in place and stimulate the jawbone. Right now, you can learn more about implants by scheduling a FREE consultation at our dental office.

Will I have to see a separate specialist for dental implants?

No need! Our team of four dental experts includes a talented oral surgeon who can handle every stage of the dental implant procedure. Everything from the initial consultation to the restoration of the implants with beautiful new crowns, bridges, or dentures can be handled right here under one roof.

I want to straighten my teeth, but I don’t want to wear metal braces. Is there another way?

While braces are the most well-known orthodontic solution (and for good reason), older patients can consider Invisalign and ClearCorrect as more image-friendly alternatives. Clear aligners are made out of a plastic that is virtually invisible when up against the teeth and gums. They are also removable, meaning you can enjoy an unrestricted diet while wearing them. Most people won’t even realize you’re wearing them, and you’ll be able to continue with your regular daily routine.

Do you see dental emergencies?

Being available when our patients need oral dental care is an important part of our dental office. We recommend that you call ProSmiles Dental & Orthodontics of Hurst as soon as you realize that you’ve damaged your tooth or are suffering from significant levels of oral pain. We’ll make time in our schedule for you as soon as possible – generally, we aim to schedule emergency appointments on the same day as the initial call so that we can get started right away in helping you relieve your discomfort and save your smile as quickly as possible.

Will you take my dental insurance?

We are in-network with most major PPO insurances, so if you currently have a dental plan, chances are that we take it. Please review our new patients’ page for more details.

I don’t have dental insurance. What are my options for payment?

Our in-house membership plan is a great alternative for those who, for one reason or another, do not have dental insurance. Instead of worrying about insurance pitfalls such as deductibles or yearly maximums, you simply pay a flat yearly fee and enjoy significant discounts on our services for the rest of the year, as well as free checkups and cleanings. We can also help you apply for CareCredit financing if you would have trouble paying the entire cost of treatment all at once.
